Academic / Research Neuro-Oncologist
BNI is a focused neuroscience institute with world class neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and active multidisciplinary programs to care for patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors. More patients with gliomas are treated at BNI than anywhere else nationally. Our Division consists of three Neuro-Oncologists, active in patient care and clinical research.
BNI Neurology Department is comprised of over 40 faculty members, a vibrant neurology residency program & multiple subspecialty Fellowships.
Academic rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor will match applicant’s qualifications.
Clinical or translational research interests are desired and supported.
Clinic resources for outpatient neurology patients includes a dedicated outpatient neurology infusion center; large, state-of the-art facilities; inpatient headache treatment program; and an established network including neuro-ophthalmology, neurosurgery, social work, neuro-psychology/psychiatry and physical therapy.
An active Neuro-Oncology Fellowship program is in place.
Medical students from University of Arizona College of Medicine and Creighton University School of Medicine rotate through the department.
Faculty academic appointments within BNI and with University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine.
Close collaboration with Neurosurgery and Neurobiology Departments where most BNI laboratory scientists have their primary appointments.
Candidates must be Board Certified or eligible in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and successfully completed Neuro-oncology Fellowship program.
