The TAMU-CC Seemann lab is looking for an excellent and highly motivated research technician who is interested to join an international team and participate in research concerning immunotoxicology, developmental and transgenerational toxicology. The lab is using a potpourri of different techniques (small RNA/RNA expression, proteomics, flow cytometry, histology (ISH, IHC), in vivo imaging and in vivo exposure experiments) to study the effect of environmental stressors on organism's health.
Responsibilities: Histology and Microscopy:
Maintenance and troubleshooting devices, specimen preparation, and image analysis.
Assist with quantitative real time PCR measurements, optimization of protocols for proteomics and small RNA measurements.
Culture and maintenance of the laboratory fish stocks.
Maintain general laboratory organization, maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment, and provide general support for group members throughout their scientific projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
Four (4) years related experience.
Experience and expertise in one of the following fields: Marine Biology (fish biology or aquaculture), immunology and/or toxicological research.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are necessary for this position.
Experience in an international working environment is considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills.
Master's Degree in related field.
$3.392.67 - $3,750 Monthly
