Under general direction of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications and in conjunction with the marketing department's project managers, the Manager of Video Production Services is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing the Merage School's visual presence on the web, in digital recruitment campaigns and in constituent communications through videography. This requires a deep understanding of the Merage School digital leadership brand and being able to creatively express it through video on the website, on social channels and via email communications. The Manager of Video Production Services will storyboard, plan, produce and edit videos to effectively share information, promote and market the Merage School to prospective and current students, alumni, donors, the business community and other external audiences. The successful candidate will have a broad and thorough understanding of videography, communication and marketing principles, strategies and tactics as they relate to visual communications; comprehensive technical knowledge; strong aesthetic and editorial sensibilities; the ability to work effectively with collaborators from a wide range of departments and programs; strong skills in managing projects and people. In addition to working directly with Merage School faculty, staff, students, alumni, and donors, position will operate equipment, scouting locations, supervise crews and advise external/offsite videographers, producers and crews.The ability to find innovative solutions, and a positive attitude are also required. Incumbent must demonstrate a high level of initiative, independence, and good judgment. Anticipation of department needs and ability to plan ahead required. Previous experience in a fast-paced marketing or communications office considered a plus.
