PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy/Hendrick Medical Center - Abilene
This PGY1 Pharmacy Residency offers a variety of practice rotations to meet the needs and interests of the resident. The residency is designed to provide the resident opportunities to strengthen an array of clinical skills in a variety of settings and gain experience with a wide patient population. Residents gain experience in ambulatory clinics, critical care, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, acute care, nutritional support †, hospital practice†, practice management†, medication safety†, mentoring†, research project†, academic teaching†, cardiology*, pediatrics* geriatrics* and academia* (†indicates longitudinal rotations, *indicates elective rotations). The resident is allowed additional opportunities for teaching medical staff and pharmacy students as well as Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists Antimicrobial Stewardship certification. Residents are given teaching opportunities through the Clinician-Educator Teaching Certification Program and are appointed as Clinical Instructors for the Texas tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Pharmacy.

ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree; eligibility for Texas licensure; application, 3 letters of recommendation, official college of pharmacy transcript, letter of intent, curriculum vitae, and onsite interview.
Applicants MUST be tobacco-free for at least 6 months prior to hire date to be eligible for employment.
