Works under the supervision of the Chair for the Department of Humanities and provides advanced administrative support work for three undergraduate programs and one graduate program.
Front-line point of contact for the Department of Humanities. Answer calls to the department and greet students and visitors to the department.
Schedule meetings and maintain calendars for the department chair and the shared conference room.
Prepare department course schedules in Banner and process reports from Argos.
Create Workday documents for the hiring of student workers, graders, research assistants, and adjuncts.
Confirm faculty textbook adoptions. Receive and review all faculty syllabi for submission to the Dean's office.
Hire, train, evaluate and supervise department student worker.
Maintain the records and activities for faculty searches.
Assist with departmental fiscal activities, such as purchasing, Pcard, and reconciling accounts using advanced spreadsheets and/or databases. Order office supplies. Keep department chair informed and updated on account activity and balances.
Arrange and/or assist departmental travel (faculty, student, incoming guests) using Concur. Schedule all travel, car rentals, hotels, conference registration or other travel needs for office personnel. Prepare travel requests and expense reports.
Assist faculty and department chair with organizing special events. Assist with coordination of purchasing, ordering food, campus announcement, invitations and registration for each event.
Assist and track catalog and course description revisions.

High School Diploma.
Four (4) years administrative support experience.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision (self-motivated).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Two (2) years office management experience.
Advanced skills in Publisher (or other desktop publishing software) and Adobe.
Experience in Banner, Argos, Ad-Astra, IslanderBuy, Laserfische, and Workday
$13.01- $13.27 Hourly
