In support of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and under the general supervision of the Department Manager, the Academic Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the graduate programs in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Responsibilities include graduate student advising/counseling; interpretation of programs, university polices, regulations and requirements; evaluation and monitoring of student progress and fulfillment of degree requirements; the entirety of the annual admissions process. Serves as key advisor to the Department Chairs, Department Manager, program committees and faculty members on all programmatic and administrative matters regarding the graduate programs. Administers to matters related to financial support, curriculum and accreditation: managing files, reporting, and analysis. Takes initiative and problem solving within the University's policy structure and School of Engineering mission. Provides general support to the undergraduate programs of Chemical Engineering, and Materials Science Engineering. Supervises the collection, analysis and data provided for accreditation (ABET, WASC, APR).

Salary: Hourly $23.58 - $24.50 Total Hours: 8-5, M-F Career Position. n/a Final candidate subject to background check.
