OHSU\u2019sIT Group is hiring for a key supervisor position, which will support FieldServices on the west side of the Portland metro area. This new position reports to the Manager ofIT Field Services and will oversee supporting customers of multiple OHSUmissions in the Beaverton, Hillsboro, and surrounding areas, including: Hospital,Academic, Research and OHSU affiliated partnerships. The selected candidate for this role willhave a unique opportunity to provide strategy and guidance to assist in thetransition of a partner\u2019s IT operation into OHSU\u2019s environment. Highly qualified candidates will be wellversed in transition and change management associated with IT process andworkflow improvement. The Supervisorwill have direct day-to-day responsibility of field analysts and associatedstaff that provide multiple services including: desktop support, service desk, project/changemanagement, purchasing and inventory. TheSupervisor works with OHSU and partner customers, Information TechnologyContacts (ITC) and department leadership to: deliver excellent customer servicefor installing, maintaining and repairing computers, supported applications,printers and peripheral devices; manage the computer procurement process;foster and maintain an understanding of the specific needs of departments; andsupport the Manager in implementing efficiencies to reduce total cost ofownership of hardware and software while improving customer satisfaction. TheSupervisor works closely with other ITG and departmental operational staff aspart of a management team to understand and creatively solve problems andimplement common methodologies, cooperatively resolve issues, and implement newtechnology solutions using ITG project management methodologies, and other bestpractices.
The incumbent spends time in the field withsubordinate staff, to develop and maintain management perspective and feedbackfor broad-based, multi-disciplinary operations. Promotes compliance withdepartment standards and practices, OHSU policies, directives andguidelines.
