Technical Education Specialist function is to plan, develop, and delivery educational activities and instructional materials for computer / information systems projects. Is responsible for the creation of highly technical systems training programs utilizing all functions of the Instructional Systems Design Model. Has experience with: instructional design/development methodologies, adult learning methodology/techniques, and is able to contribute to a team in a goal-directed manner.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Undergraduate Degree in Education, Computer Science, Occupational Technology, Marketing, Communication or related field. Graduate degree preferred. Epic certification a plus.
Seven (7) years teaching technical systems training with strong curriculum development experience to include use of Instructional Systems Design (ISD).
Five (5) years experience in healthcare preferred.
Three to Five (3-5) years experience in CBT (Computer-Based Training) or Web-Based Programs preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
Certified in Epic Care or Proficient in Epic Products preferred.
Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, leadership, and teaching skills.
Management Experience: Three (3) years project management experience preferred
Other Skills: Analytical, Design, Typing, P.C., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project The ideal candidate will meet the Minimum Qualifications and have experience in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, experience in developing curricula for adult learning, e-learning and come from a healthcare environment as it very important to have an understanding of medical terminology

Collaborate with Information Systems teams to determine educational requirements for new and existing computer systems.
Design and develop technical courseware for all levels of learners.
Take initiative to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
Issue Management – identify and communicate all project issues to appropriate management levels. Ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and overall quality of deliverables
Reviews project deliverables and secure appropriate signoffs.
