The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a focus in Physical Chemistry.
The primary mission of the OSU Department of Chemistry is to provide a program of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral education in chemistry and to conduct research and scholarly activities focused on areas of chemistry important to human health, materials and the environment. The department offers PhD and MS degrees in Chemistry and has approximately 28 faculty members, 115 graduate students and a rapidly growing student body, including 200 undergraduate majors. Some areas of research that would complement our department include the use of existing or new experimental methods to study biomolecules or materials (surfaces, interfaces, and/or solids), or advancing new theoretical frames of analysis and modeling.

Typically requires PhD or terminal degree (Masters for some Extension positions and MLS for Library positions), demonstrated ability to teach in a classroom Extension, or other setting, and develop a research program in the academic discipline/unit.
Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry or an allied discipline.
