Summary: Jobs in this family are responsible fordeveloping, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of applicationsand related information technologies. In addition, they areresponsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standardarchitectures, as well as hardware and software components. Thisrole provides consulting services regarding how to integrate informationtechnologies into clinical and business processes and the effective applicationof industry and organizational technology standards.
This position is an independent contributinginformation technology professional within the Systems Analyst family.This position develops and applies their expertise in two or more applicationareas, striving to ensure that applications and the related informationtechnologies continue to meet the ever changing clinical and businessrequirements of the organization. Expected activities include but are notlimited to:
Monitoring the effectiveness of applications and relatedinformation technologies in meeting user requirements.
Modification of applications as needed to meet userrequirements.
Definition and development of reports, performingapplication upgrades, resolution of problems and issues associated withinstalled applications and related information technologies.
Diagnosis of failures encountered in application softwareand related technologies.
Quality control of all applicationimplementations/enhancements prior to release to customers.
Maintaining an awareness of vendor and industrydevelopments/plans in area(s) of responsibility, communication anddocumentation of all relevant items and activities.
This position will also consult with personnel in theorganizational units within area of responsibility to analyze currentoperational procedures, identify problems, learn specific input and outputrequirements and recommend solutions that improve operations.
Position requires at least 5 years of direct experience anda high school diploma or equivalent.
Epic Home Health certification strongly preferred.
A BA/BS degree in IS or Business is preferred.
May have an equivalent combination of education and/orexperience in lieu of education and/or experience stated above.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Relevant Information Technology certifications preferred.
Epic Certification required (Epic certification is requiredwithin 6 months from employment, including 2 test retakes).
