The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for delivering key design, functional, and business requirements on assigned technical projects, as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client or business needs. This role requires translating strategic design and mapping of business requirements into system/technical requirements. This person will be responsible for writing technical specifications based on interactions with the client and/or business.
These specifications will need to be precise and clear as they will be delegated to other team members such as developers, consultants, and/or product support/documentation personnel. An individual filling this role should be comfortable representing our technical team on client-facing calls and articulating possible solutions applicable to our platform. Ideally the Technical Business Analyst is engaged in best practice development initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and is familar with biometric screening processes that support business objectives.
Research, interview, comment and document key business and technical requirements
Utilize technical skills to research code and tables to ensure the solution request is ideal for the business
Assist in creating test cases
Communicate with key product stakeholders to determine requirements, constraints and risks with new or enhanced product features
Ensure key stakeholders, including developers and product owners, are made aware of key information related to current or future development activity
Identify, document and communicate key risks for product approaches
Understand market activities around biometric screening technologies and experiences
Gather and analyze the feedback from internal and external clients to ensure business goals are meeting the needs of the company's strategic roadmap
Interview users and development team in order to have a thorough understanding of current products and their challenges
Analyze operational workflow to determine technological gaps and enhancements
May facilitate and/or lead daily standups, planning, and product deployment
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
Requires a bachelor's degree or 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare technology environment
Experience performing technical product research
Experience with technology solutions in the healthcare space
Experience working with development teams and multiple stakeholders to coordinate efforts for the same goal
Experience identifying requirements and writing user stories based on product owner, developer, and QA feedback with business needs
Knowledgable of UI/UX design concepts for web-based and mobile products
Experience managing project scope to deliver quality results
Technical Background / Degree Program preferred.
Able to discuss technical solutions
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience collaborating across multiple cross-functional teams to define the best business solution
Ability to work independently
Willingness to travel (up to 10% possible)
