PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager Employee Health and Safety for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours .

Responsible for managing overall daily department functions and leadership of Employee Health and Safety. Responsible for direction, leadership, and supervision of staff including responsibility for oversight of Occupational Health, Workers Compensation, Safety, compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission or DMV and other regulatory agencies.
Provides leadership and strategic direction of the Employee Health and Safety department functions throughout Eugene/Springfield and Cottage Grove communities.
Development, management and monitoring of the operating budget for the department.
Management/supervision and development of assigned staff which includes participating in the hiring process, assigning work, performance development and assessment, scheduling and staffing, and human resource issues.
Monitor and direct compliance with regulatory agencies that Employee Health and Safety operate under.
Oversight, leadership, direction and budget for Workers Compensation in collaboration with Shared Services Manager of Insurance and Manager of Workers Compensation.
Provide oversight, leadership and support to the Employee Health Nursing system wide Counterpart Team.
Participate in PeaceHealth system wide activities as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Nursing or equivalent is required or a combination of education and experience that provides the caregiver the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
Clinical education and experience strongly preferred.
Minimum of three years progressively responsible management experience required.
Previous Human Resources or Employee Health experience preferred.
Clinical background preferred.
Experience with Workers Compensation, regulatory agencies, and safety strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Able to work independently and in collaboration with team.
Able to maintain flexibility and composure under pressure.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

This position works closely with Leadership Team of the VP of People and Culture.
SHMC PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Work requires fairly light physical exertion from 34% to 65% of the time.
Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
