Under supervision, the successful candidate will perform carpentry as part of a team on UCSD Medical Center projects with a total construction cost not to exceed $50,000. The Carpenter will also assist with the installation and maintenance of infection control barriers for all projects in the construction department and also select medical projects managed by Construction Project Management. The Carpenter will also perform other related duties as assigned.
Constructing and repairing structural components and equipment; building, repairing, and installing counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, installing ceiling and flooring components.
Fabricating and installing infection control containments and barriers.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a journeyman carpenter in a healthcare environment.
Must have a valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Remodeling experience in Acute Care environments.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
