The International News Media Association (INMA) seeks a full-time Graphic Artist to produce or coordinate all creative across the small but ambitious non-profit association.
This is a work-from-home position, interacting with INMA’s global virtual office. And it is a once-a-generation opportunity: our graphic artist from the past 28 years is retiring, so think of INMA as a potential home for you. Ideal candidate is based in Dallas, where core staff resides, but this is not mandatory.
Create or coordinate all creative services: slides, Web site and e-mail imagery, reports, conference materials (signs, badges, agendas, banners, clings), PowerPoint presentations.
Provide artwork and collateral materials for Web site, whose design is maintained by an outside agency.
Involves 6-8 conferences, 1 awards competition, 6-8 reports, 10+ original articles per week, 25+ Webinars, 10+ newsletters, membership materials, social media, 6+ in-depth PPT presentations annually.
Work closely with CEO and content staff assigned to each function
Maintain INMA brand’s personality and style across projects
Articulate ideas and demonstrate a willingness to bring new ideas to the forefront
Demonstrate effective inter-personal skills with strong interest in working with people
Exhibit attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Fast-paced environment at key moments in the year. Quick turnaround time is a must, as is attention to detail and excellent command of spelling and grammar.
Maintain assets and electronic source files in digital asset library
Maintain project organization including keeping accurate project notes and records
4+ years professional experience in graphic arts
Degree in visual communication, multi-media design, or a related course of study
Portfolio containing samples of art direction, design, and video reel
Current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and techniques
In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on Photoshop and InDesign
Must have thorough knowledge of all printing processes and technologies and how to prep artwork accordingly
Knowledge in usability design, information design, content design
Self-motivated, excited about INMA and graphic work being done
Willing to work from home and remotely with staff around the world
Strong management capabilities with the ability to work, lead, or coordinate multiple projects on deadline and with a superior attention to detail
Excellent communications skills, comfortable working virtually with others
Based in Dallas
Knowledge of HTML
Knowledge of Spanish
