The Prospect Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, researching, tracking and analyzing prospects for cultivation and solicitation through relationship management systems and processes. This specialized research and analysis facilitates the engagement, cultivation and solicitation of annual leadership and major giving prospects by University Advancement staff, law and athletic development staff as well as the deans and directors of academic units and other senior campus officers.

Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with faculty and staff, students, alumni, volunteers, donors and the general public.
Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions
Requires strong spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proof reading skills.
Needs to be able to compose effective, professional correspondence.
Must be proficient with word-processing and spreadsheet applications, preferably Word and Excel.
Must be a self-motivated, highly dependable independent worker with the ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize work and problem solve without direct supervision
Discretion and the ability to interact with top-tier donors while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external constituency groups and to work collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment
