LANE COUNTY WASTE MANAGEMENT: The Waste Management Division of Lane County Public Works manages municipal solid waste within the County. Division programs include disposal, recycling and prevention, and special and hazardous waste. The Division provides nuisance abatement, environmental, and educational services. Waste Management is funded solely by user fees and operates within an Enterprise Fund.
WASTE MANAGEMENT MANAGER: The Waste Management Manager is part of the Public Works Senior Management Team; reporting to the Department Director. The position provides oversight and direction to a Division with multiple programs and over one-hundred full and part-time employees represented by three different bargaining units. The position supervises staff, allocates division resources and funds, and prioritizes programs and goals. The Waste Management Manager directs, evaluates, and administers the Division’s program and projects, and works extensively with other County Departments and public agencies to achieve Division goals.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Business, Environmental Studies, Engineering Management, Civil or Environmental Engineering, etc.
Six years of progressively responsible experience related to area assigned, including supervisory experience.
NOTE: An equivalent combination of experience and training is also qualifying.
Additional Salary Information: The salary range for this position is $75,753.60 - $113,651.20 per year. As a full-time, regular employee, benefit options include:
