Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is seeking a Technology Trainer to join our IT Department in our Denver office. This role is a wonderful opportunity to work alongside our IT Training Manager to be responsible for the delivery of the firm’s technology education and training programs.
The Technology Trainer collaborates with our IT Training Manager to assess, develop and coordinate the delivery of training programs to meet the departmental needs and those of our employees. In conjunction with subject matter experts and the IT Training Manager, the Technology Trainer will design, deliver and evaluate the training processes to assure the quality of the training programs and measurable results. This position will include conducting regular training sessions for individuals as well as small to large groups in-person and via webinars.
The responsibilities are focused on the following general areas of responsibility:
Assist the IT Training Manager in the development of a framework for firm-wide and departmental-specific trainings suitable for the full spectrum of Brownstein employee functions and levels of experience;
Assist the IT Training Manager in the development of computer based training programs related to upgrades of the Microsoft Office Suite, add-ins related thereto, and the firm’s current document management system, iManage;
Publish and maintain a training program schedule to cover a 12 month period of time;
Work with subject matter experts from within the firm to design, develop, and determine the most appropriate means and methods for delivering each course;
Organize training into curricula so that courses can be accessed by the firm employees who require or desire the specific training through the Learning Management System (LMS);
Lead the design and development of instructional and supporting materials;
Occasional travel to the firm’s regional offices will be required.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, telephony, mobile devices, and have excellent communications skills both verbally and written. We prefer law firm or professional services experience combined with a bachelor’s degree, but neither are required. This role is best suited for an individual who values working in a team environment and who thrives in teaching others the skills necessary to be successful in their individual positions.
