The University of Washington’s Department of Radiology Breast Imaging section at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) has an opening for a full-time, Fellow position. This one-year breast imaging fellowship is scheduled to start July 1, 2019.
Our Breast Imaging faculty members are all fellowship-trained breast imagers recognized as national and international leaders in clinical breast imaging and in the research and evaluation of new imaging technologies. Our UW breast imaging fellows spend 100% of their time training at the SCCA, which is located in the heart of Seattle’s thriving South Lake Union neighborhood. The SCCA is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in Washington State and has been ranked among the top 10 cancer hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for 12 years running.
This fellowship program is committed to comprehensive training in all aspects of breast imaging and percutaneous intervention, including:
Screening and Diagnostic Mammography
Digital breast tomosynthesis
Percutaneous interventions including stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI biopsy
In addition to patient care, fellows will participate in multidisciplinary conferences, teaching, clinical research, and the development of new imaging/interventional tools. They will also have the opportunity to attend and present original research at national radiology meetings and will be involved in a number of ongoing clinical research trials performed at the SCCA.
