The Insurance Receptionist is responsible for overseeing patient flow, answering phones promptly and scheduling appointments. This position will also be responsible for data entry of patient demographics, posting of charges, payments and adjustments as required in the clinic setting. Other responsibilities may include obtaining insurance verifications, referral authorizations, processing and follow-up of insurance claims and collections as required.
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting is required
Understanding of diversified insurance plans and Managed Care environment
Knowledge of coding and medical terminology
Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills
