Provides excellent customer services to hospital guests and staff by preparing and serving quality beverages and food items. Responsible for following Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Safe Handling Guidelines regarding food safety and sanitation.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirements
One-year previous barista, food service, or point of sale experience, preferred
Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English
Basic computer skills
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Prepares fresh coffee, beverages and food items to meet customer orders. *
Acts as an ambassador of Nutrition Services departments; provides excellent customer services to hospital guests and staff. *
Questions and complaints are responded to in a timely manner. *
Must handle cash according to hospital policies and procedures. *
Maintains systems that ensure inventory and stewardship of goods. *
Orders weekly inventory supplies. *
Follows uniform and dress code policy. *
Demonstrates professionalism and sound critical thinking. *
Assures proper cleaning and sanitization of utensils and equipment in assigned area. *
Ensures that items are stocked, organized and easy to find. *
Ensures the use of FIFO rotation system and properly labels and dates all items per policy. *
Follows all department and hospital infection control and safety policies. *
Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently
