ALA accredited Masterâ™s Degree ( or international equivalent) in Library Science or Library Information Studies, or related field.
Three years of experience in or training on using metrics and altmetrics tools, open access, the research process, or current issues in scholarly communication.
The employer will accept any combination for a total of 3 years.

50%: Building Research Information System Platform
Responsible for the operation and improvement of the Librariesâ™ RIS platforms and services that support scholarly identity, including VIVO (vivo.tamu.edu), ORCIDs (orcid.org) and the TAMU PlumX (plumanalytics.com).
25%: Develop Metadata associated with research profiles
Review, update and improve metadata associated with research profiles, using metadata crosswalks and Resource Description Framework (RDF) metadata standards
Contributes to national community efforts to improve and shape researcher information systems
Use metadata crosswalks and Resource Description Framework (RDF) metadata standards.
10%: Provide Outreach and Professional Development on the use of Research Information System (RIS)
Design and implement systemic programs that couple outreach, education, tools, and policies that effectively advance library initiatives in the specialized area of Researcher Information Systems,
Use knowledge of open access, the research process and current issues in scholarly communications;
5%: Support the Development of Digital Collections
Promotes the collection development of digital objects in the Libraries repository and digital asset management system.
Assist in providing support to TAMU researchers on digital data management.
5%: Support the Development of Policy and Workflow for Digital Objects
Assess and recommend standards, policies, and workflows for the collection and management of scholarly digital objects
Documents these workflows and policies.
5%: Other Duties
Performs other duties as assigned.
