This position is two nights of Relief Audit and from 11:30 pm -7:30 am It will be over weekend nights and two weekday, plus fill in when needed. The Relief Night Auditor must be able to act independently in the absence of manager on property within set guidelines. Shifts may vary due to hotel occupancy.
As Night Auditor you will:
Complete all accounting obligations in order to close the hotel accounts and prepare reports as required. This includes but is not limited to balancing and reconciliation of all accounts in order to finalize the Night Audit and close the hotel accounts for the evening.
Respond to all guest requests, complaints and security issues (working closely with Campus Public Safety officers).
As Front Desk agent you will:
Check in and out guests, answer phones, make reservations and attend any customer service requests.
Work closely with other evening staff to coordinate and assist guests.
Strong customer service experience with a desire to make the guest happy is a must.
Our strong candidate is someone who is energetic, likes the evening shifts and is reliable with an eye for detail.
Previous hotel experience is a plus.
High School education or equivalent experience.
Hotel experience or similar customer service experience of at least one year.
Cash handling and verifiable accuracy.
Customer service : The front desk is the main contact point for all who enter the hotel. This position provides excellent helpful service to all hotel guests. You must have the ability to resolve conflict and to address customer’s needs in a professional and timely manner in busy, sometimes stressful, circumstances. You must be confident in making direct eye contact, open and friendly so that guest’s feel welcome.
Communication : Ability to clearly communicate effectively with a diverse customer base in person, in writing, by telephone or by email to include greeting customers, guests and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner, collecting payments, providing guests needing assistance, answering customer or public inquiries;
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and work instructions.
Ability to write clear, complete and accurate routine reports and correspondence to provide information to supervisors and co-workers.
Successful completion of a background check.
Direct hotel experience in Night Audit.
Night audit or accounting background.
