Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
The Mass Communication department at Sam Houston State University seeks a well-qualified clinical assistant professor to teach journalism classes and to oversee its award-winning student newspaper, The Houstonian. The successful candidate will supervise the business model and off- and online publication strategy of student-led publications; they will be responsible for hiring student editors and serving as a mentor and resource for dedicated and passionate journalism students. Will also teach 2 courses each semester.
