The Project Coordinator (Project Policy Analyst 2) provides a wide array of support to ensure the seamless implementation and evaluation of an obesity prevention program, called Koa Family. The Project Coordinator's primary role will be coordinating the activities of Koa Family interventions and research partners. The incumbent will ensure that project-specific goals, objectives, strategies, tactics, and performance metrics are met. The incumbent will also work with staff and partners to develop program material, lead workgroups, and make recommendations for obesity prevention and management among low-income populations. Additionally, the incumbent will provide support for a broad spectrum of public and population health projects being conducted by IPHI. Activities may include project planning, research design, operations management, report writing and editing, and assistance with scientific manuscript preparation.REQUIRED- Strong project coordination experience; ability to ensure multiple staff and partners' efforts are synchronized to achieve project goals. - Excellent team and collaborative skills across diverse groups and disciplines including the ability to coordinate small teams of internal and external stakeholders to plan, implement, and complete project activities in a timely manner. - Exceptional verbal and written communications skills to convey complex issues competently - Familiarity with public health practice and programs; particularly in the realms of chronic disease prevention and behavior change. - Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research processes, including study design, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of results. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access). PREFERRED- Master in Public Health or related field. - Working knowledge of the University of California Davis Health and UCD policies and procedures.- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation in an academic setting.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT.
