REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Vice President, Business Development, Broker- Dealer Channel
We are seeking an individual to join the US Intermediary Distribution team who will focus on supporting the Business Development professionals on the Broker/Dealer team. The individual will help support the retention of existing relationships and help identify and grow new relationships. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Ability to represent Matthews Asia aligned with the Firm's culture
Assist with prospecting: identify new prospects that fit the B/D team criteria through top advisor lists and other search engines
Help schedule meetings for BD Team with clients and prospects in various cities
Follow-up: quick and thorough follow-up post meetings
Target email campaigns: help create and distribute email campaigns
CRM management: make sure client and prospect information is correct in Salesforce
Sales Tracking: create daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the team to track big purchases/redemptions as well as any trends to be aware of;
Client Service: proactively reach out to existing and new clients, identify primary contacts and keep abreast of Matthews research and updates.
Qualify along the way, enter pertinent notes in Salesforce, and also include on our prospect list for future trips to the area;
Travel: occasional travel with BD Team to client meetings to see what B/D advisors are thinking, hear questions they are asking, and learn how to conduct one on one meetings.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated:
Experience in global/international investment strategies
Capacity to build positive and effective internal and external relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with Financial Advisors
A passion for investing in capital markets and an intellectual curiosity about Asia in particular
Relationship management/sales skills
High level of integrity, honesty, diligence, and loyalty
3-5 years financial services experience preferably with an asset management firm
