University of Washington Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine has two academic anesthesiologist position available at the rank of Assistant Professor. These positions are without tenure and are either part-time or full-time with a 12-month service period. These Assistant Professor positions initially have a three-year term and are renewable for a second three-year term. Duties include 1) the teaching of residents, fellows and medical students and overseeing of the clinical care team, 2) clinical or basic science research in areas related to anesthesia and/or trauma anesthesia. MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) is required. Must obtain state of Washington medical licensure. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
