This position assists with the implementation of clinical trials and research projects in the Department of Neurology under the Layton Aging & Alzheimer's Disease Center and ORCATECH, which contribute national and international efforts to understand aging, research promising treatments for Alzheimer\u2019s disease, develop technologies for health assessment and patient support, as well as genetics, neuroimaging and pathology.
This technical coordinator will manage all technology-related needs of the I-CONECT study, which is a multi-site clinical trial studying the effects of video chat-based social interaction on the cognitive function of adults 80+ years old. The technology coordinator deploys the I-CONECT in-home video chat / medication tracking systems into homes of isolated seniors in the Portland area, maintains the video chat software platform, provides phone support, coordinates with remote team members, creates and maintains study documentation, and trains and supports research assistants with study technology. When not driving to and from participant homes, the technical coordinator will work with the research team in offices located on both OHSU\u2019s Marquam Hill and Waterfront campuses
