Major/Essential Duties of Job
Primary responsibilities include: 1) teaching undergraduate or graduate courses; 2) designing, implementing, and publishing research 3) advising students; 4) team teaching field-based courses; 5) serving as a liaison to observe and mentor students in field-based settings 6) working collaboratively with faculty and staff to implement departmental programs and Student Learner Outcome Assessments; 7) working with public school partners and community colleges on collaborative projects to foster mutual goals; 8) providing professional development and mentor teacher training; 9) providing service to the department, college, university, public schools, and community; and 10) a desire for continual learning in order to stay current with new knowledge from research, best practices in teaching, and technological applications in the classroom, including online teaching.

Recruitment Activities and professional development.
Required Education and Experience
Doctoral Degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum and Instruction or a related field with an academic specialization, at least 18 graduate hours, in Early Childhood Education is required.
Three years of certified public school teaching experience in grades K-3
Scholarly publication record or scholarly potential
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
Preferred Education and Experience
University level teaching; experience in field-based teacher education programs, and online teaching experience.
Current Texas teacher Certification
Knowledge and experience with teaching math at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels
Required Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations
Current Teacher Certification
Required Special Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
Knowledge of Project Work
Experience with best practices in teaching English learners and STEM fields
