Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. Performs all required data entry and filing associated with the process and performs functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures. Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required. Required Qualifications: 1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadCalifornia Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration Certificate or Pharmacy Intern Registration CertificateExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience in IV solution processingMinimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianMust be able to demonstrate proper aseptic techniquesMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesPrior experience (minimum 2 years) in a pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixture
