The College of Pharmacy invites applications for a part-time (0.50 FTE), 12-month, academic wage salaried position. This position is anticipated to last six months.
This position will be located in Portland, on the Oregon Health and Science University campus, and the successful candidate will support the research mission of the OSU/OHSU College of Pharmacy.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide key statistical, technical, and administrative support for investigators conducting clinical epidemiologic research in the areas of medication use, health outcomes, and drug policy. Requires expertise in biostatistics/epidemiology; managing large relational datasets; verbal and written communication; and strong organizational skills. This position would benefit from expertise in project management, knowledge of pharmacy or biomedical terminology, and research theory.
This position would work closely with College of Pharmacy faculty engaged in health services and epidemiologic research. This position would also work with other research investigators, students, and research assistants on research projects. This position would provide statistical and data management support. Other responsibilities would include assisting in the preparation and management of manuscripts for publication in scientific journals and grant proposal for submission to funding agencies. This position may also participate in preparing and managing documents for Institutional Review Board submissions and working with other research offices.

The defined qualifications will need to be identified in the Minimum/Required Qualifications field.
Masters degree (e.g. MS, MPH) with emphasis in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expertise in Stata, Stata,or R statistical package, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong knowledge base in statistics, epidemiology or related field.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Working understanding of the use of healthcare claims, EHR, or PDMP data related to research involving substance use disorders
Advanced understanding and knowledge of scientific/medical terminology and research theory.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
