Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Department of Biomedical Science is seeking to find a Management Assistant to join Dr. Lali Medina-Kauwe's lab.
Summary of Essential Duties: Under general supervision, provides administrative support, coordinating all administrative activities of the office. Incumbent must Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and underlying management structure of the department and of the larger Health System in organizing and prioritizing work, establishing procedures and systems and ensuring the orderly and timely flow of business through the office. Coordinates the clerical and administrative staff workflow through the office. Coordinates and administers human resource and payroll functions and participates in budget review and financial processes.
Essential job Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative duties including: managing scheduling, communications, coordinating meetings, taking and providing meeting notes, some help with filing/archiving files and electronic inventories. Immediate need for assistance on a book project (sending communications, coordinating deadlines, collecting documents, etc.). It would be possible for someone filling this position to work remotely most of the time.
