The senior editor provides professional editing of stories, news releases and newsletters produced by the News and Media Relations team in the Office of Public Affairs. Tasks include substantive editing, copy editing and proofreading for factual accuracy, style, clarity, consistency and appropriateness (both print and electronic). Applicants must have a comprehensive knowledge of Associated Press style and be able to work on multiple projects while also meeting deadlines. In addition to editing, the job includes some writing responsibilities and managing the calendar for Rice News stories and maintaining the Rice-customized Associated Press Stylebook.
