S/he will work with the senior leadership team, under the direction of the CMO, to drive business strategy, growth, and clinical operations and quality. The medical director will help to ensure that the highest level of quality care is being delivered to veterans and patients. This individual will work collaboratively across the MSLA organization and will serve as a clinical resource to all departments. The medical director will interface with contracted providers and government client organizations. Primary ResponsibilitiesPartners with, reporting directly to the CMO to oversee the provider training, clinic operations, and clinical quality departments Direct supervisory responsibility for the clinical quality auditing (QA) team under the mental health, opto/dental, and audio specialties with indirect oversight of gen med Establishes a regular cadence of meetings to include review of "Inadequate" reports providing guidance on related client error assignment on the same In collaboration with clinic oversight manager, ensures all compliance regulations are met at MSLA clinic locations across the U.S. Conducts clinic walk through and audits Reviews clinic operational handbooks related to compliance, and with any modification of the contract that may be received adhoc within 30 days of receipt Oversees diagnostic testing component of disability benefit questionnaires (DBQ) as required by the contract; collaborates in the guidance and training to the DX department leaders Develops and leads the ACE process (Process by which a DBQ(s) is/are completed utilizing the medical records), in collaboration with the CMO - works with the IT department to develop tools to support and improve the process. Provides structured guidance on the review of ACE reports to the QA team Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) to the provider and clinical training staff to support the design and delivery of training for staff and providers Understands government contract requirements and modifications and guides the clinical team toward implementation and adherence, ensuring all internal and contractual metrics are met and maintained Provides guidance and client relationship management to clinical strategic partners 25% travel within the U.S
Required Qualifications:Licensed physician 5+ years in previous leadership positions Demonstrated experience working with and educating MDs, PAs, and NPs Experience working with independent medical exams Preferred Qualifications:5+ years clinical practice Experience working with government contracts Experience working with the VATransforming health care and millions of lives starts with the values you embrace and the passion you bring.
