Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Reporting to the GM Infusion Pharmacy, the primary responsibilities of the Infusion Pharmacy Manager will include the following: Supervises, schedules, and evaluates all clinical and supportive pharmacy personnel as it relates to the clinical services provided, sterile compounding, inventory control and purchasing 7-10 direct reportsDirects, coordinates and supervises all pharmacy activities including drug preparation, sterile product preparation, dispensing, and clinical pharmacy services. Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies as well as accrediting bodies (e.g. TJC, BOP, URAC)Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy and intravenous therapy by reviewing the literature and attending in - services, seminars and conferencesOversees in the procurement of drugs, supplies and equipment used in preparing and administering drugsOversees the clinical services offered by the branch as their related to both infusion and / or specialty services providedEnsures compliance with all controlled substances related rules, regulations and Company policiesMaintains proper communication and coordination with other departments and staffDevelops and participates in educational programs for the company.Will temporarily assume the role of the leader for the operation of the branch in the temporary absence of the General / Branch managerProvides input to preparation of the budgetPrepares justification for additional personnel, equipment, and programsDevelops policies and procedures and assures compliance thereofParticipates in branch Quality Management / Performance Improvement Program Reviews data for quality / performance improvement measures
Required Qualifications:BS Pharmacy or Pharm DCurrent, unrestricted California Pharmacist license 1+ year experience leading staff, projects or tasks within pharmacyWilling to obtain out of state pharmacist licenses required to support out of state pharmacy license PIC requirementsExcellent communication, interpersonal, relationship and problem solving skillsMust be able to communicate and problem solve effectively with all levels and professional disciplines as well as with patients, families, staff, physicianProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookPreferred Qualifications: Previous pharmacy leadership / supervisory experience Working knowledge of the regulations and processes related to sterile compoundingExperience in Infusion or IV-Admixture 3+ years of experience in a health care system UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
