Primary Responsibilities:Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data Present analysis and recommendations for operational and business review/planning Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis Recommend, develop, and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes Develop and execute overall Medicare STAR strategy/initiatives in collaboration with health plan leadership, UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement, and national STAR teams Coordinate within the plan and cross functional areas to resolve and/or improve Medicare STAR and HEDIS measures Perform root cause analysis for poor performance on administrative and clinical measures, making recommendations for improvementThis is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story and use that data to make process improvements.
Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in business/finance analysis 2+ years' experience in developing reports, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions 2+ years in leading implementation of business solutionsPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field 2+ years of experience in Medicare, STARs, or HEDIS quality measures Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, and PowerPointUnitedHealth Group is a Fortune 6 company that offers a broad spectrum of products and services dedicated to helping people live healthier lives and making health care work better for everyone.
