DCH Perianesthesia is committed to growing a professional practice environment with major focus on role and relationship competence. The RN provides care consistent with ASPAN standards and evidence based practice. The RN is responsible for participating in the growth of the nursing profession and continuous improvement to achieve best practice in our unit to increase the value of care we provide to our patients and families. We provide fast-paced, family-centered, pediatric perianesthesia care. We care for a variety of pediatric patient populations ranging from neonates to young adults who include ambulatory, inpatient, urgent/emergent surgeries, after hour\u2019s sedation and prolonged procedural recoveries. Acuity levels vary from clinic patients to day surgery to critical care pediatric patients. Strong collegial relationships with all interdisciplinary team members, especially our pediatric anesthesiology providers, are fostered.
