This position is primarily responsible for designing and building innovative database-driven web applications and automation tools to support the operations of the Knight Diagnostic Laboratory. Key skills include the ability to apply core computer science principles in data structures and algorithms, as well as, object oriented design patterns to novel problems where no commercial solutions currently exist.
The incumbent will develop, support, and enhance existing and new research, laboratory, and administration systems through elucidation, analysis and understanding of user requirements, businesses processes, and system functionality. This position will focus and serve the needs of the Knight Cancer Institute, including the Knight Diagnostic Laboratory Information System.
Duties to perform include:
Elucidating, developing and translating system requirements into a technical design and implementing that design
Producing software documentation to support the entire software development life cycle
Developing application interfaces and system integrations
