The Clinical Research Coordinator supports the operational excellence of the Clinical Trials providing logistical support for UC Davis clinical and translational investigators and coordinators, including but not limited to: study start-up, assistance with financial aspects of clinical trials, FDA documents, IRB documents, HIPAA compliance, source documents and CRF's, research subjects scheduling and registration, sponsor site visits, recruitment and retention strategies, laboratory specimen processing and shipping, monitoring visits and audits close-out procedures. In addition, this position will assist in the development, facilitation and presentation of various CTSC educational programs.--Working knowledge and experience with federal and state regulations, GCP guidelines, HIPAA, institutional policies, and SOPs. --Experience creating/developing/delivering presentations. --Excellent knowledge and skill with administrative processes related to clinical research. --Experience with monitoring and data collection procedures. --Demonstrated experience in use of medical terminology. --Excellent skill and knowledge in appropriate use of disease processes, anatomy, and physiology. --Strong analytical skills to define problems, formulate logical solutions, and make recommendations. --Excellent organizational skills and experience. --Excellent oral and written communication skills. --Customer Service delivery experience and skill. --Knowledge and experience with computer systems and programs (Windows or Mac OS, MS Office Suite, web browser applications, e-mail applications, DaFIS, Siemens Invision scheduling and registration system, and EPIC EMR). --Past experience as a clinical research coordinator preferred. For SR. CRC Level: --Certification by Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). --Experience working as a clinical research coordinator, with increasing level of responsibility. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT--Must be able to work variable work scheduled to meet the needs of the department.--Required to make presentations, travel to national meetings and conduct consultations at various UCD locations.--THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
