The General Surgeon will work with an established team of two highly respected PeaceHealth-employed General and Trauma Surgeons and six community General and Trauma Surgeons.
St. Joseph Medical Center is a 253-bed, Level II Trauma Center; Whatcom County's only hospital. PeaceHealth Medical Group (PHMG) is a physician-led group with over 800 medical practitioners in communities throughout Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
Our surgeons perform general surgery and acute care services along with covering the Level 2 Trauma Unit at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Bellingham, WA. This is a high-volume practice with a broad range of procedures and settings. This position also provides for potential future outreach clinics to surrounding communities including: Peace Island Medical Center - San Juan Islands, WA, United General Medical Center – Sedro-Woolley, WA and PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center – Ketchikan, AK.
Our ideal candidate would have 3-5 years in general and acute care surgery, post residency and fellowship training.
