Summary of Essential Job Duties: Assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and delivery of patient care. Demonstrates clinical competency and technical skills for general and specialty patient populations. Utilizes nursing process to perform, coordinate and supervise patient assessments, develop and revise patient care plans, and provide nursing interventions. Triages phone calls using approved protocols and documents per established standards. Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory requirements in delegation of tasks and in documentation. Demonstrates critical thinking and performance in the coordination, implementation and documentation of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession. Provides and documents patient, family education and teaching. Greet patients and provide an initial nursing evaluation as needed-Oversees and manages patient care flow, taking a leader role within the suite. Prepare patients for provider by reviewing current medications and record in medical record as needed. Takes appropriate vita] signs and record in medical record as needed. Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs. Assist provider in examination/procedure rooms as needed. Perform designated diagnostic tests as directed by provider. Current schedule is two (2) days per week, Mondays and Thursdays. Educational Requirements: BSN preferred License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current California RN license Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Nursing experience Experience working with transgender patients highly preferred Physical Demands: Be able to lift minimum 20 lbs.
