The Transplant Financial Management Analyst reports to the Finance Program Manager. Position requires knowledge of Transplant Federal Regulations in relation to Transplant Financial Services. Oversees and performs the financial processes associated with the Comprehensive Transplant Center. Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and tracking the activities on all operational accounts, including account reconciliation and miscellaneous financial transactions; prepares reports as required. The Transplant Financial Management Analyst is also responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, as well as obtaining authorizations for transplantation, ancillary services and office visits, and resolving billing issues. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to details to the issues of the patient population(s) served. Note: All External Hires must successfully pass a background check, a prohibited substance screening, and a pre-employment physical.
Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or a comparable level of experience. License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Medical billing and terminology course or certificates desired. Experience: Minimum 5 years in a healthcare and medical billing environment. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking) Perceptive acuity and physical ability to perform all functions including walking, sitting, standing, bending, and light lifting required.
