Provides a proactive, strategic consulting role in guiding, determining and influencing the organization's workforce and talent needs. This role is both a strategic partner to the business and local human resource staff, and an active participant in the planning and implementation of workforce planning objectives. Works to align organization design, workforce planning strategies and talent acquisition to solve short term and long term business goals. This role is responsible for consultative advice and creation of plans for the recruitment of outstanding talent, and will partner with hiring managers to understand their business, current and future talent needs and then develop with other key stakeholders (i.e. Human Resources, Compensation, Finance) the workforce staffing plan. This role is responsible for high-level consultative conversations with hiring leaders and will leverage critical thinking and influencing skills to resolve complex and challenging situations. This role will collaborate across recruiting, sourcing, marketing, candidate care and diversity strategy functions to ensure success of the plans.
Education Requirements: (i.e., BSN, High School Diploma, GED)
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or other related field.
A minimum of 5 years combined experience in recruiting and human resources with at least 2 years in a business partner/consultative position; ideally operating in a large, changing environment.
Strong subject matter knowledge in administration and implementation of strategic workforce planning programs, processes, and issues; ability to participate knowledgeably in the design of programs.
Large hospital and/or health system experience preferred, including the ability to manage close partnerships with internal human resources, compensation, finance, and nursing professional groups.
Comprehensive behavioral based interviewing and candidate assessment skills
Demonstrated experience in building relationships, consulting and influencing hiring managers, with ownership over the hiring manager experience
Experience developing and executing talent acquisition strategies
Proven success in partnering with business leaders to execute recruitment strategy effectively
A high energy level, hands-on style, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively present material appropriate to the level of the audience, including executive leadership.
Exceptional quantitative and analytical capabilities.
Strong business acumen, forward thinker, financially astute, attention to detail and strong sense of logic will be critical to success in this role.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and programs.
Knowledge of the marketplace, developments and trends related to the talent acquisition function.
Understands federal, state and local laws as it pertains to talent acquisition administration. Ability to work under pressure, meet critical deadlines; work collaboratively in a highly matrixed, complex organization; ability to navigate a large, growing organization, including handling integration of acquisitions

Position Duties (essential job functions)
Participate in and lead strategy and design of talent acquisition plans in the local markets.
Leverage organizational knowledge, business unit understanding and labor market knowledge to create and influence workforce planning strategy
Clearly manage and support business leader expectations on workforce plan, talent availability and labor management objectives, including use of market analytics to understand tradeoffs, quality and speed
Development (in concert with others) and execution of a staffing strategy focused on creative methods to source, identify, assess and engage high-potential, diverse talent.
Effectively anticipate the changing needs of the business and hiring leaders
Build and maintain strong internal relationships and network with key stakeholders
Effectively balance process excellence and strategic and business effectiveness
Accountable for talent management performance targets
Assure Centura Health is in compliance with laws and regulations.
Enable optimization of sound hiring decisions in the context of the broader talent strategy
Challenge and educate hiring leaders in regards to candidate selection, behavioral interviewing, proficiency assessment, business/talent risks and talent assumptions.
Responsible for reviewing programs, suggesting modifications, and ensuring achievement of competitive market position and other goals identified by Centura Health.
Ensures talent acquisition programs support Centura Health's strategic objectives by remaining knowledgeable of the key business goals.
Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures
Provide counsel to HR business partners, leaders and other recruiting staff regarding talent acquisition issues, and handle escalated issues as needed.
Provide insight, technical analysis, and policy support to achieve equitable and successful programs/plans.
Prepare and deliver regular (weekly/monthly) reports and analytics and recommendations on the talent acquisition plans/objectives, including course corrections, to key stakeholders
