This position leads the in-house creative team and is responsible for managing creative output, from concept to production, for CHRISTUS Health, overseeing the graphic design, visual and video and photo work created by Associates within the CHRISTUS Health system. This position also serves as a Graphic Designer for the Southeast Texas and Louisiana regions of CHRISTUS Health, which include CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System, CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Health System, CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System and CHRISTUS St. Patrick Health System.
The Manager will be responsible for presenting design concepts and creative content to internal clients and then subsequently managing a team of creative professionals to meet project goals. The Manager will delegate tasks, hold regular status meetings to track progress, and analyze the project through the development processes. After projects are completed, these managers must analyze their success and develop procedural or product changes as necessary.
The Manager must understand and be able to interpret the system's strategy, as well as each ministry's strategic priorities, to ensure deliverables meet customer needs. They must also be familiar with customer needs and industry trends. They must oversee team budgets and deliverables. The Manager will work closely with Marketing/Communications team members, ministry Marketing/Communications leaders and the Manager of Campaign Performance Management to ensure product or service compliance and that timelines are followed.
The Manager will play a key role in the implementation CHRISTUS Health's new brand standards, ensuring that all pieces produced by the graphic designers and videographers adhere to these standards, which direct things like image choice, messaging and tone, and font and icon selection, to create a consistent CHRISTUS brand nationally and internationally. As part of their graphic design work, the Manager will use a variety of design elements to achieve artistic or decorative effects. Utilizing their skills and experience in a number of technology and software programs, they will design and create, coordinate, produce and edit a wide variety of outputs, mostly for internal use. This may include--but is not limited to--flyers, booklets, brochures, posters, internal signage, templates, banners and illustrations along with another visual materials needed to communicate a desired message to reach a target audience.
To accomplish these vital tasks, the Manager will work under the direction of the system VP of Communications and Public Affairs and in coordination with the VP of Strategic Marketing and key system Marketing/Communications leaders.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage all creative services staff and output from the creative services team, ensuring projects meet expectations and timelines. * Manage the work, training and development of design and video staff. Develop team members, providing coaching and direction to staff. Supervise creative team and give technical direction. * Work with internal clients to determine their requirements and budget and create outputs to meet their needs. Brief and advise them with regard to design style, format, print production and timetables. * Manage client proposals from concept through to design, print and production. * Use programs such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop to design and create, coordinate, produce and edit a wide variety of outputs, mostly for internal use. This may include--but is not limited to--flyers, booklets, brochures, posters, internal signage, templates, banners and illustrations. * Help implement CHRISTUS Health's new brand standards by ensuring that all pieces produced by the graphic designers and videographers adhere to these standards, which direct things like image choice, messaging and tone, and font and icon selection, to create a consistent CHRISTUS brand nationally and internationally. * Coordinate all administrative aspects of production, including creating initial designs and receivng approval; preparing final designs for print or presentation; checking and receiving approval for all color, copy, text, and format selections; and scaling images for print production. Ensures that all parties are informed of and meet deadlines. * Represent regions and CHRISTUS system on various internal committees and task forces, as requested. * Maintain ad agency relationship and vendor relationships, as appropriate to responsibilities. * Work collaboratively with members of the CHRISTUS Health Communications and Marketing Teams to assist in implementing strategies. * Work with designated printer(s) to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality. * Work simultaneously on multiple projects, prioritizing by deadline and importance. * Perform other duties as assigned.
