This is a part-time (.50 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent (probationary) position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. Incumbent works 11 months per year and is paid over 12 months. Anticipated month(s) off will be June 15, 2018, through, July 14, 2018.
Under general supervision of the Director, this position serves a pivotal role in the financial affairs of the School. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and maintaining fiscal records for all allocations and expenditures in the School. Working closely with the Director, faculty, and staff, the incumbent provides fiscal support for the School’s SDSU and Foundation accounts, including travel requisitions and reimbursement, supplies purchase and maintenance. The incumbent is an integral team member of the School administrative support staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the School. The incumbent also works closely with the PSFA Dean’s Office Budget Analyst, Resource Manager and various campus financial units

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $1,570.50 (based on FT $3,141) per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $2,855- $4,731 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite. These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills
Proficiency in MicroSoft Office Suite.
Experience in a higher education and/or public sector setting.
Experience working in an academic setting.
Experience maintaining budgets.
Three years of budget/financial experience in higher education.
Experience developing, updating, and managing large budget spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
