The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Specialist to join Protein and Nucleic Acid Chemistry. Working closely with the PI and a small group of researchers within the lab, the Research Specialist will be an integral contributor to lab organization and management, perform experiments, and provide both technical and conceptual scientific input. A key component is mammalian tissue culture and the generation of new cell lines.
Bachelor's degree in science required; advanced degree and interest in structural biology or biochemistry strongly preferred. Educational emphasis in biology, biochemistry or a related field, as well as previous experience in mammalian tissue culture and genome editing, required. Must be highly detail-oriented and focused, inherently motivated, and able to work as part of a team as well as a mentored atmosphere for a research project.
