The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Immune Cell Epigenetics and Signaling. The Research Assistant will perform tissue culture work, RNA/DNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, cloning and transfection, Western blots and other basic laboratory techniques. Will work with mice in order to obtain tissue for experiments involving bone marrow, the spleen, etc.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in biology preferred. Must have a minimum of one to two years of previous lab experience and proficiency in cell culture techniques and molecular biology. Experience with mouse handling and models a plus. Must be able to work independently in addition to working as part of a collaborative environment. Ability to prioritize work, carry out complex experiments with precision, and the ability to organize, analyze and present data, required. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written skills, and exceptional record keeping skills. Must have proven record of performance excellence with previous laboratory science positions.
