Under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator and nursing and research staff of the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study, the Medical Assistant will conduct phlebotomy, perform and record clinical measures, laboratory processing and shipment of blood and urine samples, administer research questionnaires, data entry and validation, compile and maintain logs and statistical reports, prepare charts, and monitor consent forms.
These duties also include engaging study participants, scheduling patient appointments, coordinate transportation, environmental care functions, equipment/supply inventory and management, front desk assistance and miscellaneous administrative tasks.
Must possess phlebotomy certificate, current medical assistant certificate, and current CPR certification.
