Under the direction of the Vice-President for Academic Support Services and Special and Opportunity Programs, the Director of the College Bound: Liberty Partnerships Programs plans, implements, and evaluates program services and activities; supervises program staff, monitors budget expenditures; coordinates the Saturday program; serves as a liaison to participating schools and community agencies; works in collaboration with the coordinator of program activities on the Staten Island Campus, and prepares and submits periodic proposals/reports to the State Education Department.
Supervise the day-to-day operation of the College Bound: Liberty Partnerships Program.
Plan, implement, and evaluate program services and activities for both the academic year and summer components.
Supervise and evaluate the Assistant Director, graduate assistants, and student staff members.
Recruit, hire, and supervise instructional staff.
Provide training opportunities to program staff.
Monitor budget expenditures.
Coordinate the Saturday program throughout the fall and spring semesters. Activities will include the provision of tutorial and counseling services, special classes, meetings with program mentors, field trips, and parent meetings/seminars.
Serve as liaison to participating schools and community agencies.
Direct the activities of the program’s Advisory Board.
Work in collaboration with the coordinator of program activities on the Staten Island Campus.
Prepare and submit periodic proposals/reports to the State Education Department.
Serve as the primary representative for the program both within and outside of the institution.
Participate in staff development activities of the Division of Special and Opportunity Programs.
Carry out activities and projects as assigned by the Vice President for Academic Support Services and Special and Opportunity Programs.
Master’s Degree and five to seven (5-7) years experience working with disadvantage students required.
