Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of University and school/division human resources and payroll policies and procedures. Prepare and process a variety of human resources and payroll-related forms; research and resolve discrepancies. Provide support for recruitment-related activities; prepare job requisitions and utilization reports; forward resumes to appropriate department heads; track recruitment activities in database. Maintain attendance records; track and calculate vacation and sick leave entitlement and balances for all departments. Assist with the prioritization of office activities and delegate to and monitor work of student and/or casual employees. Compose letters and correspondence. Perform general word processing, spreadsheet and data entry duties utilizing intermediate-level functions. Maintain moderately complex budgets and/or grants.
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent or an Associate's degree.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree.
Required Experience: 2 years of office experience (with High School diploma). 1 year of office experience (with Associate's degree).
Preferred Experience: 2 years of office experience in a Human Resources department (with Associate's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Customer service orientation. Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Moderate, accurate keyboarding.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Office. Good writing and proofreading skills.
