The Employment Relations Business Partner III (HR Specialist III) is responsible for consulting on all areas of employment relations matters and implementing and/or recommending appropriate actions to address and resolve those issues. Works to establish and maintain effective employee relations through the consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for complaint resolution and investigating and processing formal complaints and appeals, assist with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other charges. Provide guidance to departments on the reduction in workforce (RIF) process, RIF implementation, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) issues; coordinating and processing Unemployment Compensation Insurance (UCI) claims; and assisting with policy management to include reviewing and editing recommendations to System Policies, Regulations and TAMU Rules, and creating TAMU Standard Operating Procedures. Works with HR Liaisons, all levels of management and employees regarding employment relations issues. Provides information and guidance on policies and procedures for all employees.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) specialties such as federal and state employment law (ADA, EEOC, UCI and Title IX) with at least two years of demonstrated experience specializing in problem solving, compliance, investigation, employee relations or policy administration/enforcement issues.
